John’s journey isn't your typical "country club" story and we love him for it. By candidly documenting his path into and through sobriety, John's raw and authentic view on mental health has served as the foundation for his nearly 5 years of sobriety. From his training sessions to on-course videos, John's dedication to the mental game shows that golf is the ultimate tool for personal growth.

At Skull & Bogeys, we’ve always believed in the "gritty" side of the game—the early morning range sessions and the resilience it takes to stay the course. So does John, which has pushed him to become a PGA Teaching Professional.

Resilience is often tested in the quietest, most painful moments. During his service with the US AirForce, Josh began facing traumatic kidney challenges that would eventually lead to multiple surgeries and a staggering 1,500 kidney stones. Josh navigated the storm with the singular focus of a modern rebel. After over a decade of physical struggle, he achieved a full recovery in 2013.

For Josh, golf is more than a sport; it is a sanctuary. The through-line of his life began as a cart boy at a local Wisconsin golf course, and that connection to the game eventually led him to earn a degree in Golf Course Management.

Since joining the Veterans Golf Association (VGA) in 2016, Josh has treated the fairway like a mission. Playing in 30 tournaments annually, he has become a force to be reckoned with—securing 9 tournament wins, including a recent victory at Palencia Golf Course in Florida, and nearly ten 2nd-place finishes in the past three years.

With over 19 years of service as a U.S. Naval Officer, Rebekah has spent her career operating at the "tip of the spear." She has trained the elite, managed high-stakes flight programs, and navigated the complex hazards of global naval operations. Her journey from the flight deck to the fairway is a testament to the Skull & Bogeys ethos: Grit, Grace, and the All-Day Grind.

Rebekah’s career is defined by the pursuit of self-mastery and, as our Global Brand Ambassador, Rebekah brings that same "command presence" to the collective. She understands that in aviation, as in golf, your gear is a tactical extension of your intent. She represents the "Quiet Luxury" of a professional who has seen it all and the "Streetwear Soul" of a rebel who continues to push boundaries.

Founded in 2015, following the death of a close friend to opiate addiction, NamaStay Sober was created to build a bridge to community rooted in inclusivity and connection for those in recovery.

The Boston-based charity focuses on the interplay between sobriety, physical activity, community and social connection as central to relapse prevention. The goal is to swap a potentially life-threatening addiction for healthy habits, and to surround yourself with a loving and supportive community who has set a similar intention.

NamaStay Sober believes that we are always stronger together All of its fundraisers and donations help support the recovery community by making otherwise cost-prohibitive memberships more affordable. The charity works with teachers in recovery and partner studios within the member’s own community to help build relationships, accountability and make it easier to show up.

No Veteran Heals Alone.

For our nation's wounded warriors, transitioning back to civilian life isn’t just a change of wardrobe—it is often the most grueling, isolating round of their lives. They face the "red stakes" of physical injuries, the invisible battle of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and PTSD, and a sudden, deafening lack of brotherhood.

At Skull & Bogeys, we believe survival must be turned into service. We don't play for the empty applause of corporate tokenism. That’s why the proceeds from our Guardian Collection are deployed straight to the front lines of veteran reintegration by supporting Bastion—America's first intentional community for injured veterans and their families.

Located on 5.5 acres in New Orleans consisting of the original residential community and a brand new Veteran Wellness Center open to the public, Bastion breaks the cycle of social isolation through a protective perimeter of neighbor-based care and life-changing neuro-rehabilitation programs. When you suit up in Guardian gear, you are executing a strategy of ethical economics. You are providing the literal logistics for a hero’s comeback.Your gear serves a higher purpose.

Rebuild the baseline. Rebuild the community.

In the midst of the shocking reality of the greatest ongoing public health crisis ever – drug overdose deaths - Drug Free Duval has a passion for something radical: freedom FROM substance abuse and freedom FOR opportunity is absolutely attainable. For all.

It doesn’t just happen though. It takes looking really honestly into the problem from every angle. It takes coordinating questions and seeking answers from every sector. It takes engaging in a process of change using measurements to assess the effectiveness every step of the way. It takes being brave enough to change courses if the plan has flaws or isn’t working.

It takes strategy.

Drug Free Duval uses a process called the Strategic Prevention Framework. It works by reaching broadly and deeply in an assessment process using qualitative and quantitative data, listening to residents and community members share their own experiences and mapping it all out.

After we understand and quantify the issue, we seek to understand the community’s capacity and readiness for change. Then we plan. We plan how and who and where and when. We work hard to identify any resources that can be utilized and to figure out how to get the resources we’re missing. Together, we implement a wide swath of environmental strategies so the very community and culture becomes new and different and, well, healthy.

It's like the frog. The frog who’s swimming around in a dirty pond, and is pretty sick. It’s a great thing if someone comes along and helps the frog get healthy, but if they take him back to the pond and it’s just like it was before…well, it’s not long before the frog is sick again. Drug Free Duval wakes up every day seeking to find ways to help the pond become a place where all the frogs can thrive.
