Flagler Saints SolarBloc UPF 50+ Hooded Tee

The Flagler Saints SolarBloc Hooded Tee is a lightweight UPF 50+ sun shirt for days spent outside, whether you’re walking to class, studying on the lawn, or out on the water past St. Augustine. It keeps the sun off your arms, neck, and head, and it’s light enough to wear all day in Florida heat.

Soft, faded-look Flagler Saints artwork on the chest and back gives it a worn-in collegiate feel. The relaxed drape looks clean enough for campus and works just as well at the beach.

What the Fabric Does

  • UPF 50+ sun protection. Blocks at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays. The rating holds when the fabric is wet, so you’re still covered after a swim.
  • 100% polyester, lightweight and soft. Dries fast and hangs loosely, so it doesn’t stick to you in humidity.
  • PURE-Tech moisture wicking. Pulls sweat away from your skin to the outside of the fabric, where it evaporates faster.
  • Zinc odor control. A zinc-based treatment helps prevent odor-causing bacteria from building up in the fabric between washes.

Fit and Details

  • Two-panel hood. Shaped to sit close to your head when it’s up and to lie flat against your back when it’s down.
  • Tapered cuffs. Narrower at the wrist so sleeves stay in place when you push them up or paddle.
  • Front and back Flagler Saints artwork. Collegiate-style graphics in a soft, understated finish.
  • Fade-resistant color. Made to hold its color through sun, salt air, and regular washing when cared for as directed.

Care Instructions

Follow these steps to protect the UPF rating, odor treatment, and artwork:

  • Machine wash cold (30°C / 86°F) on gentle with like colors.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Line dry or lay flat to dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry.
  • If needed, iron or steam on low heat, inside out. Do not iron over the print.
  • Do not dry clean.

Does the UPF 50+ protection wash out?
The UPF rating comes from the fabric’s construction rather than a coating, so it holds up through normal washing. Washing cold and skipping the dryer helps the fabric last longer.

Does it still protect when it’s wet?
Yes. The shirt keeps its UPF 50+ rating when wet.

Is it too hot for Florida summers?
It’s designed for heat. The polyester is lightweight and dries quickly, and covering your skin often feels cooler in direct sun than leaving it bare.

How does it fit?
It has a relaxed athletic fit with tapered cuffs. If you’re between sizes and plan to layer underneath, size up.

Can I wear it in the water?
Yes. It works for paddling, fishing, and beach days. Rinse it in fresh water after saltwater use.
